Servings: Makes 3 dozens

Ingredients

1 can Carnation Condensada
1/4 cup Carnation Evap
3/4 cup powdered milk
sugar

Procedures:

Place Carnation Condensada, Carnation Evap and powdered milk in a pan and mix well. Cook over low heat, stirring continuously until mixture starts to forms a soft ball. Place in a bowl and chill for at least 4 hours.

Form into logs and cut into 2” pieces. Roll in sugar and wrap in colored paper if desired.

I tried your pastillas recipes twice over the weekend.

The first time, I stirred over low heat until I believed that the consistency was enough to form a “ball”. But when I chilled it, it became a hard like a jawbreaker.

The second time, I stirred it until it was a little less than the consistency to form a “ball” - I chilled it but it did not harden enough to form an actual ball.

What went wrong? I followed your recipe twice and it yielded nothing but failure. I hope to hear from you.

mron akong nkitang isang recipe nang pastillas, instead of condensed milk, sugar ang nilagy… anu kya ang mas ok? hmmm…
